Tadpoles and Flaming Star

By Gordon Haynes

IC405 and IC410 lie in the constellation Auriga and are a great pair of nebula to be imaged together
particularly in narrow band where the structures and colour show up really well. Care has to be taken in the processing
though as the OIII element is very weak compared to the Ha and SII. This was taken over three
nights with a Televue NP127is/FLIPL16803 prototype imaging system that I'm currently testing. Exposure time is 19x10
minutes SII, 24x10 minutes Ha and 18x10 minutes OIII and then maped to the HST Palette
