M35 & NGC 2158

M35 is at a distance of 2800 light years and is relatively young , about 150 million years ,
has about 2500 stars distributed in a volume of 30 light -years across. In the lower right corner ,
we have NGC 2158 is a much older open cluster , compact, 10 times and with many more stars in roughly the same volume of space.

The photograph is made from partially polluted skies using the RGB filters. With following exposure times :

20 x 600 RGB Bin1 , totaling about 10 hours .
